How to Book CSCS Green Card

 You must have a valid CSCS Card to work safely on construction sites in the UK. Find out how to apply for CSCS Green Card.


A valid CSCS card is often required to work safely on UK construction sites. To get a CSCS Green Labourer Card,  you must first complete the CITB Health, Safety and Environment touchscreen test for Operatives.(known commonly as the touch screen test).This test takes 45 minutes, is multiple choice, and must be taken in person at a local testing center. This service allows you to book appointments at over 150 test centers nationwide. It is important to note that you must complete the CITB Operatives test to obtain a CSCS Green Labourer card. There are a number of different tests within the CITB test and these can be taken for workers looking to obtain certain other CSCS cards such as Black CSCS Card  (Managers & Professionals CITB test) or Gold CSCS Card (Supervisor CITB Test).

How do I get a CSCS Green card?

1.Book in a CITB Health, Safety and Environment Operatives test at your local test center.

2.Once you have passed this test, you must complete the Health, Safety and Awareness (HS&A) course(also known as the Health, Safety & Awareness course).

3.Once both are completed, you can apply for your CSCS Green Card. You will need a copy of both the Health, Safety and Awareness Certificate and the CITB Health, Safety and Environment score report to complete your CSCS Green Card application. Once you have completed this process and received your CSCS Green Card, you will be eligible to work on construction sites in the UK. Your CSCS Green Card is valid for 5 years.

Health, Safety and Awareness (HS&A) Course
